About Me
Hi! I'm Sofia, a senior at the University of Arizona. I am pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Finance at the Eller College of Management. I am interested in Finance because it allows me to exercise my problem solving skills and provides the opportunity to interact with others. Moving forward, I hope to find a corporate finance career in the retail industry.

I am also highly involved with Greek Life on campus. I am currently the Chapter President of my sorority, Pi Beta Phi. My leadership and collaboration skills are demonstrated daily while I hold an executive council role. The constant exposure to our sorority traditions and sisterhood keep me grounded in my work ethic and personality. My junior year I was the Vice President of Finance, and lead development and administered $1,400,000 annual chapter budget while tracking 10 individual chapter officer budgets.
In 2017, I interned at a technology company called Rajant Corporation. I shadowed the Financial Controller and learned the basics of corporate finance. Working at a small but rapidly growing technology company, Rajant Corporation, allowed me to see that a strong foundation of business fundamentals is crucial in order to adapt to new environments. Overall, technology and business hold a symbiotic relationship, and my internship at Rajant showed this first hand.

This past summer, I interned for Tory Burch Headquarters in Manhattan, New York. As a Finance intern, I shadowed numerous Finance departments including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Sales Audit, Inventory, and Financial Planning and Analysis. This internship confirmed by interest to pursue a career in the retail industry. The combination of the Tory Burch culture and the fast-paced environment provided great exposure to my experience as an intern.
I grew up in a small town called Wayne, Pennsylvania. I attended Archbishop Carroll High School and was the captain of the volleyball team. My experience on the court sparked my interest for fast-paced environments. As an active team member, I recognized the importance of communication and collaboration skills. My junior year, I joined the tennis team and was awarded Most Valuable Player. My high school athletic experiences highly contributed to my effective team working skills.

Outside my academics and Pi Phi, I spend my time practicing yoga. I have practiced hot yoga and meditation for over two years. The serenity of the meditation provides a set time to clear my thoughts and maintain focus. My experiences from both high school and college have taught me the most effective and influential skills stem from teamwork.
